PI Hire: Create a Job

Before you can send assessments or begin reviewing candidates, you first need to create a Job.

A Job represents a real open position you want to fill. Each Job has a title and a description. Each Job also has a Job Target, which represents the behavior an ideal candidate should have.

How to create a Job

Go to the Job Creation menu

1. Open Hire.
2. In the top menu, select the + Create New Job button.

Enter the Job Details

1. Enter a Job Title.
2. Optional: Enter a Job Description.
3. Select Next.

Our software contains a database of thousands of real-world jobs. Each real-world job has a preset Behavioral Target that matches the characteristics people in this role usually have.

Once you’ve entered the Job Title and Job Description, our software will search through our database and list any close matches. From there, you can either:

• Select a Job from our database. Recommended for new users. Your Job Title and Job Description won’t change. Instead, our software will use the Behavioral Target of a real-world job you select.
• Refine your Behavioral Target. Recommended for advanced users. You’ll change the Job’s Behavioral Target by selecting characteristics your ideal candidate should have.

We’ll outline both options below.

Select an existing Behavioral Target

1. Select a Job from the list.
2. Select Create Job.
3. Congratulations! Your Job has been created. From here, you can enter candidate details to send the 6-minute PI Behavioral Assessment.

Refine your Behavioral Target

If your Job matched one or more of our real-world Jobs:

1. Select No close match? Let’s refine another way.
2. Select an industry.
3. Select Next.
4. Choose at least six characteristics that are critical to success in this role. These will determine the Behavioral Target for your Job.
5. Select Create Job.
6. Congratulations! Your Job has been created. From here, you can enter candidate details to send the 6-minute PI Behavioral Assessment. 

If your Job didn’t match any of our real-world Jobs:

1. Select an industry.
2. Select Next.
3. Choose at least six characteristics that are critical to success in this job. These will determine the Behavioral Target for your Job.
4. Select Create Job.

Congratulations! Your Job is now created. From here, you can enter candidate details and send the 6-minute PI Behavioral Assessment
